Metallic Liquids!

There's been quite the trend on everyone's lips that began to immerge in A/W22, continued to remain for Spring and has now exploded for A/W23! That trend is Metallic liquids and predominantly Silver!

If you are reading this and the thought of silver being a trend has completely passed you by then you must have been hibernating under a rock with absolutely no WIFI connection as quite frankly it's been unavoidable! It's such fun, as fashion should be!

What's really exciting is that as shoppers we are totally on board and excited by this trend because no sooner has it launched in stores it has pretty much immediately sold out, so we are clearly very open to adding this to our wardrobes!

We have thanks to pretty much most of the fashion houses for really pushing this through to the high street as the trend of the season with the likes of Gucci, Prada, Valentino, Simone Rocha and Michael Kors all including it as a valuable part of their show.

I can confirm it's not just for Christmas folks, this is everyday weekend attire, perfect also for the office and heading out for cocktails! I would even say silver is completely acceptable on the school run! Lets lighten up those darkened drizzly mornings with some disco ball fun!

So, are you open to adding this to your wardrobe? Is it a flat "no", a "I have added it already" or "I am tempted but how do I wear it?"

Well, whatever your answer I have searched the high street for various ways you can get this added to your outfits this A/W, whether it be head to toe or a dabble with some accessories! There is absolutely something for everyone!

Have a little peak below and see if any sparkle catches you eye, links to product if you click on the description.........

Silver Trousers

By far the most popular piece of clothing with many influencers as been the silver trousers and you are pretty lucky to grab some as they are selling out like hot cakes everywhere! I got some this season but they are actual last A/W as I found them on Vinted which is always a great place to shop for trends like this! The options below are still in stock so act fast to give them a go, there's never any harm in trying!

Silver Skirts

Last year it was all about the trousers but this A/W the silver palette has moved to all silhouettes so if the trousers do not take your fancy then maybe a skirt is something you will get more wear from. They are great to teams with a simple tee, oversized sweat top or a cosy knit, with either trainers, pumps, loafers or boots on your feet! The options are endless!

Silver Jeans

A more relaxed way to wear silver bottoms is jeans and many of them are a silver coated twill so the colour feels a little calmer, it may be a better option to try if the trousers are slightly too bold for you. It means that you can reach for a skinny fit jean too which you may be more comfortable with in terms of style. The M&S coated Ivy's have already proved popular as the fit in their regular denim is a winner! Here are some options to consider.

Silver Footwear

I got very excited last week as I managed to bag myself a pair of the sold out Marks & Spencer silver Mary-Janes and I cant wait to wear them! They are a bit special! There is so much silver footwear out there whether you want to go heels or flats. The style of the season is a Mary-Jane or loafer but you will likely find your most fave shape in a silver option!

Silver Accessories

To bring silver into your everyday style then accessories is the easiest, quickest and most affordable way to do this and there is so much choice! Here I have given you a selection of possibilities and if silver is a trend you want to buy into but are a little nervous then to ensure no impulse buys are made I suggest that you do start with the accessories as its a fun way to get that silver into your outfit! Here are some easy wins for !

So there you have it! Quite a bit of choice there and please do not be put off if you have ever had a colour analysis and been told silver isn't your colour. Everyone can enjoy it and all these pieces are not worn next to your face, so you can wear the silver with a colour you are more used to wearing on your top half!

If you would like any help adding this trend to your wardrobe then why not book in a personalised Look Book here, or get in touch here to discuss a wardrobe edit or personal shop! Don't let everyone else have all the fun!
